Background: Similar to tumor cells, activated T-lymphocytes generate ATP mainly by glycolytic degradation of glucose. Lymphocyte glucose uptake involves non-concentrative glucose carriers of the GLUT family. In contrast to GLUT isoforms, Na+-coupled glucose-carrier SGLT1 accumulates glucose against glucose gradients and is effective at low extracellular glucose concentrations.

We investigated the role of the acid sphingomyelinase (Asm)-ceramide system as a target for antidepressants.

SLC6A19 is stimulated by serum- & glucocorticoid-inducible kinase (SGK) isoforms. SGKs are related to PKB/Akt isoforms, which also stimulate several amino acid transporters.

Our purpose was to analyze the evolution of the indicators, identify processes that require corrective measures, and obtain specifications that are more robust than the preliminary ones proposed in a previous study by the same group.
Methods: The yearly average was recorded for each indicator in each laboratory, the yearly interlaboratory median was calculated, and the changes occurring were studied to determine their continuity in the 5-year period.
