[Comparative assessment of immediate results of mitral valve repair according to the classical technique with posterior leaflet preservation].

We comparatively assessed the results of mitral valve repair according to the classical technique either with complete removal of leaflets or with the preservation of the posterior leaflet and the chordal-papillary apparatus. Depending on the variant of the operation, all patients were divided into two groups. Group One consisted of 23 patients in whom the posterior leaflet with the chordal-papillary apparatus was preserved, and Group Two comprised 23 patients in whom the mitral valve was removed completely.

[Surgical treatment of vasorenal hypertension in children and adolescents].

Problems of the surgical treatment of vasorenal hypertension in children are elucidated as well as types of reconstruction of the renal arteries, indications and contra-indications for surgery. Results of 34 operations fulfilled for fibromuscular lesions of the renal arteries in 32 patients and causes of reoperations and resection of the organs are analyzed.

[Late results of surgical treatment of renovascular hypertension in children and adolescents].

Remote results of the surgical treatment of vasorenal hypertension in children and juveniles have been analyzed with special reference to etiology and kind of operative procedures. Good results were obtained after reconstructive operations.
