Objective: This article explores the views towards contextualizing Psychological First Aid (PFA) to address the specific needs of communities in Pacific Island Countries (PICs) impacted by disasters. The methodological approach involved a review of existing literature on PFA's relevance, adaptation, and effectiveness in disaster response settings.
Findings: In disaster response, PFA is a recognized, evidence-informed psychosocial support activity internationally, yet measuring its effectiveness in real-time disasters remains challenging.
Background: Pediatric germ cell tumor (GCT) with extensive cavo-atrial tumor thrombus presenting as an oncologic emergency is extremely rare.
Observation: A 13-month-old female child with sacrococcygeal GCT having inferior vena cava (IVC) and right atrial thrombus presenting with anasarca and respiratory distress is reported. Because of worsening symptoms post initiation of chemotherapy, tumor thrombus debulking from the right atrium and distal end of IVC was performed on day 9 on an emergency basis.
Research shows that person-centered statistics are useful for identifying coping profiles in adolescents and adults, including college students, where such studies are limited. This study aimed to discern coping profiles among American college students and examine associations with mental health outcomes. Participants completed the Brief COPE inventory, Depression, Anxiety, and Stress scale - 21 items (DASS-21), and a demographics form.

Objectives: We aimed to identify the pattern of cognitive impairment in relapsing MS (RMS) with mild disability using a regionally-adapted MS-specific cognitive battery.
Omics techniques, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics, analyze entire sets of biological molecules to seek comprehensive knowledge on a particular phenotype. These approaches have been extensively utilized to identify both biomarkers and biological mechanisms for various physiological conditions in livestock and poultry. The purpose of this symposium was not only to focus on how recent omics technologies can be used to gather, integrate, and interpret data produced by various methodologies in poultry research, but also to highlight how omics and bioinformatics have increased our understanding of poultry meat quality problems and other complex traits.
