Background: Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD); Crohn's disease (CD), ulcerative colitis (UC)) are global diseases. There is a paucity of knowledge about the burden and epidemiology of IBD in Africa. We performed a scoping review of the published literature on IBD in Africa to identify burden, risk factors, and outcomes as well as knowledge gaps.

Date palm is a diecious plant; females are commercially important to produce fruits, and males are required for pollination. Dates are easily segregated through seeds, then seed-raised plants revealed 50% of each male and female plant.

Herein, the microgel was synthesized from sunflower bee pollen by using a cost-effective process, and to examine its structural integrity under adverse acidic and alkaline conditions, digital microscopy and dynamic image particle analysis were carried out. Swelling dynamics of pollen microgels were regulated by varying pH conditions, and adding aqueous KOH to the solution, and the influence of swelling-deswelling on bulk rheology and local elastic properties were experimentally investigated and theoretically interpreted by using the Ross-Minton equation for the suspension viscosity.

However, epidemiological studies have produced inconsistent and varying results regarding the prevalence of PVB19 and its associated clinical outcomes in this population. These inconsistencies highlight the need for a thorough summary and analysis of present data to better understand burden and impact of PVB19 on HIV patients.
