A Comparative Analysis of Printed Circuit Boards with Surface-Mounted and Embedded Components under Natural and Forced Convection.

This article is dedicated to the research of the physical reliability of electronic devices. It consists of a comparative thermal analysis of the cooling efficiency of a surface-mounted and an embedded component on a printed circuit board. A simulated finite element model of heat distribution over a printed circuit board with a surface component was constructed.

The Trace Theorem, the Luzin - and Morse-Sard Properties for the Sharp Case of Sobolev-Lorentz Mappings.

We prove Luzin - and Morse-Sard properties for mappings of the Sobolev-Lorentz class , (this is the sharp case that guaranties the continuity of mappings). Our main tool is a new trace theorem for Riesz potentials of Lorentz functions for the limiting case . Using these results, we find also some very natural approximation and differentiability properties for functions in with exceptional set of small Hausdorff content.

[Results of carotid endarterectomy in patients with obliterating atherosclerosis based on data of neuropsychological status and electrophysiologic indices].

The clinical picture and functional indices were investigated in 22 patients with hemodynamically significant stenosis of the major arteries of the carotid basin before and after carotid endarterectomy at the period up to 3 years. It was shown that medical efficiency of the carotid endarterectomy was more pronounced in patients with the intact compensatory blood flow.
