Background: Clinicians lack robust data on quality of life and social functioning after pancreatectomy limiting their ability guide patient decision-making aligned with patients' goals of care.

Methods: In this cross-sectional survey study, we administered the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Core Quality of Life questionnaire (EORTC QLQ-C30); pancreas-specific QLQ-PAN26; Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS™) Ability to Participate in Social Roles; and PROMIS™ Activities and social Isolation scales to all elective pancreatectomies (2021-2023). Results were compared to both normative data and between groups to determine factors predicting better QOL with a >10-12-point change considered clinically significant.

Background: Pancreatic surgery often does not provide long-term survival in patients with cancer or consistently improve symptoms in benign disease. This study aimed to assess decision regret and satisfaction with the decision-making process among patients who underwent pancreatectomy.

Methods: This study administered the Brehaut Decision Regret Scale (DRS), 9-Item Shared Decision-Making Questionnaire (SDM-Q-9), and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Core Quality of Life Questionnaire (EORTC QLQ-C30) to all patients who underwent elective pancreatectomies from 2021 to 2023.

Introduction: Intraoperative goal-directed hemodynamic therapy (GDHT) is a cornerstone of enhanced recovery protocols. We hypothesized that use of an advanced noninvasive intraoperative hemodynamic monitoring system to guide GDHT may decrease intraoperative hypotension (IOH) and improve perfusion during pancreatic resection.

Methods: The monitor uses machine learning to produce the Hypotension Prediction Index to predict hypotensive episodes.

We present the comparison of two-dimensional (2D) fetal brain biometry on magnetic resonance (MR) images using orthogonal 2D T2-weighted sequences (T2WSs) vs. one 3D super-resolution (SR) reconstructed volume and evaluation of the level of confidence and concordance between an experienced pediatric radiologist (obs1) and a junior radiologist (obs2). Twenty-five normal fetal brain MRI scans (18-34 weeks of gestation) including orthogonal 3-mm-thick T2WSs were analyzed retrospectively.

Overexpression of PD-L1 (CD274) on tumor cells may represent a hallmark of immune evasion, and overexpression has been documented in several tumors including cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC). While PD-L1/PD-1 activity in the skin has been primarily described in inflammatory models, our goal was to examine PD-L1 expression in human keratinocytes exposed to UV irradiation. We assessed PD-L1 expression in human sun-protected (SP) and sun-damaged (SD) skin, actinic keratosis (AK), and cSCC using IHC and protein microarray.
