Background: Despite the close association of Alzheimer's disease (AD) with muscle decline, the biomarkers of age-related muscle loss, termed sarcopenia, in AD remain elusive.
Objectives: We investigated the plasma neurofilament light (NfL) chain levels as potential biomarkers of sarcopenia in AD patients. DESIGN SETTING, PARTICIPANTS, MEASUREMENTS: We conducted a cross-sectional, observational study on older adults, including controls and patients with AD (n = 38-44/group).

However, their excessive usage poses major threats to human health, causing neurotoxicity and respiratory disorders. In addition, they harm aquatic ecosystems by disrupting biodiversity.

Methods: Cell cycle progression and apoptosis were assessed by flow cytometry. Gene and protein expression of molecules involved in apoptosis (BLC2, survivin, BAX, Cytochrome-C, and Caspase-3), cell cycle (CCND1, CCND3, p21, and p27), the PI3K/AKT/mTOR/HIF1α oncogenic pathway, and glycolysis (LDHA, PDH, and PDHK1) were also analysed by quantitative RT-PCR and Western blot.
Autism identification and classification using biomedical medical image analysis has advanced recently. Research shows autistic females have different phenotypic and age-related brain variations than males. Gender-specific hormones and genes affect autistic female brain circuitry, unfortunately, female phenotypic and genotypic data is quite deficient.
