Induction machines (IMs) are commonly used in various industrial sectors. It is essential to recognize IM defects at their earliest stage so as to prevent machine performance degradation and improve production quality and safety. This work will focus on IM broken rotor bar (BRB) fault detection, as BRB fault could generate extra heating, vibration, acoustic noise, or even sparks in IMs.

Article Synopsis
  • The study reviews 50 years of research on collective leadership, analyzing 417 publications from the Scopus database using bibliometric analysis.
  • Recent research indicates an increase in focus on collective leadership themes, though it remains underdeveloped in terms of practical application, particularly outside Western contexts.
  • The findings suggest a need for more diverse studies, especially in African, Middle Eastern, and Asian contexts, and offer a comprehensive resource for future researchers and practitioners in the field.

T cell co-inhibitory immune checkpoints, such as PD-1 or BTLA, are bona fide targets in cancer therapy. We used a human T cell reporter line to measure transcriptomic changes mediated by PD-1- and BTLA-induced signaling. T cell receptor (TCR)-complex stimulation resulted in the upregulation of a large number of genes but also in repression of a similar number of genes.

Prions can exist as different strains that consist of conformational variants of the misfolded, pathogenic prion protein isoform PrPSc. Defined by stably transmissible biological and biochemical properties, strains have been identified in a spectrum of prion diseases, including chronic wasting disease (CWD) of wild and farmed cervids. CWD is highly contagious and spreads via direct and indirect transmission involving extraneural sites of infection, peripheral replication and neuroinvasion of prions.
