Background & Aim: Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most common cause of non-infectious deaths in infants worldwide. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying CHD remain unclear. Approximately 30 % of the causes are believed to be genetic mutations and chromosomal abnormalities.

Case Summary: We are reporting diagnosis and management of a rare case of DSP cardiomyopathy. A patient in his 70s was investigated for mild shortness of breath, recurrent chest infection, and multiple ventricular ectopic.
Background: Preoperative intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) before coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) could improve operative outcomes by augmenting the diastolic coronary blood flow. Data on preoperative IABP use in patients with left-main coronary artery (LMCA) disease are limited. This study aimed to characterize patients who received preoperative IABP before CABG for LMCA and evaluate its effect on postoperative outcomes.
