Introduction: The complications of the open-wedge osteotomy technique (slope, hypo- and hypercorrection and fractures) are related to difficulties in the control of the open-wedge angle during surgery.
Materials And Methods: In this cadaveric study, we evaluated the safety and precision of a novel system, the Realignment High Control System (RHC), in the correction of knee mechanical axis and slope. The RHC has a fixation plate coupled to a dynamic device that opens the osteotomy continuously, allowing plate fixation before osteotomy wedge opening.
Objective: To prospectively evaluate the results from double-bundle reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament, among patients at our clinic, by means of the 2000 protocol of the International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC).
Study Design: Case series; level of evidence IV.
Methods: Fifty-eight patients who underwent anatomical reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament using an autologous flexor tendon graft by means of the double-bundle technique were evaluated in accordance with the IKDC 2000 protocol.

Brachytherapy is potentially useful in the treatment of head-and-neck cancers, because most tumor sites, such as the lip, tongue, floor of mouth, tonsil, pharynx, nasopharynx, sinuses, and neck, are accessible for the placement of afterloading applicators and catheters. It has the advantage of delivering a higher radiation dose to the tumor while sparing surrounding normal tissue from radiation. Furthermore, the overall treatment duration is shorter, and the dose distribution confirms to tumor shape.
