Mitral and aortic annular calcification is an age-related degenerative process that can result in severe mitral and/or aortic stenosis and/or regurgitation. Annular calcification not only increases the surgical complexity but also increases the risk of complications. In this case report, we present the innovative use of the Sonopet ultrasonic surgical aspirator for aortic and mitral annular decalcification in a patient with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, mild aortic stenosis and moderate mitral regurgitation in the presence of mitral annular calcification (MAC) and aorto-mitral curtain calcification.

This study aims to investigate the potential of Casson-based Cu-HO nanofluids in enhancing free convection heat transfer within complex geometries. The research examines the free convection heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics of a Casson-based Cu-HO nanofluid within a semi-parabolic enclosure that includes a wavy corrugated cylinder.

Transcanalicular laser-assisted and external dacryocystorhinostomy anatomical and functional success in primary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction: systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: Primary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction (PANDO) is a condition in which tear ducts are blocked, leading to epiphora and dacryocystitis. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to measure the ability of transcanalicular dacryocystorhinostomy (TC-DCR) as an alternative approach to PANDO compared to traditional external dacryocystorhinostomy (EX-DCR).
