Unrepaired tetralogy of Fallot in a 58-year-old female: factors contributing to the observed survival (case report).

Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) is the most common form of cyanotic congenital heart disease. Less than 3% of all patients with uncorrected TOF reach their 40 year of life. We present the case of a 58-year-old woman female with uncorrected TOF.

[Surgical treatment of tricuspid regurgitation associated with left valvular heart disease: about 162 cases].

Tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is a prognostic factor associated with the outcome of patients undergoing surgical treatment of left valvular heart disease. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the postoperative outcome of patients with tricuspid regurgitation associated with left valvular heart disease and to identify factors associated with surgical failure. We conducted a retrospective study of 162 patients over the period January 2009 to July 2019.

[Contribution of closed mitral commissurotomy in the surgery of rheumatic mitral stenosis].

Unlabelled: The objective of this work was to study the indications, techniques and results of closed heart mitral commissurotomy in patients with rheumatic mitral stenosis in Morocco.

Methods: All patients who had undergone closed heart mitral commissurotomy for rheumatic mitral stenosis, operated between 1999 and 2008 were collected in this study. Mitral stenosis was diagnosed and evaluated using Doppler echocardiography.

Infectious endocarditis complicated by an ischemic stroke and revealing Marfan syndrome.

Marfan syndrome is a systematic genetic disease of the connective tissue. The cardiac affection would predict the prognosis and ischemic stroke might complicate it. The purpose of this work is to discuss the mechanisms of the ischemic stroke in Marfan syndrome which have to be considered in all young patients of ischemic strokes.

[Cardiac myxoma complicated with cerebral aneurysms and revealed by an ischemic stroke].

Introduction: Myxoma is a rare benign primary cardiac tumor. It may cause vascular complications. Neurological symptoms may precede or accompany the diagnosis of myxoma with systemic embolization occurring most often in the cerebral circulation.
