A Retrospective Study on the Long-Term Outcomes of Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy Versus Sublobar Resection in Lung Cancer: Analysis From the Scottish Cancer Registry.

Introduction:  A comparison between sublobar resection and stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) in the treatment of lung cancer is a trending topic. However, there is still a lack of strong randomized controlled trials on this subject. We believe that the National Cancer Registry can provide good insight into decision-making when comparing these two modalities of treatment.

The use of a metaphyseal sleeve total knee replacement as primary treatment for Schaztker VI tibial plateau fracture.

Traditional treatment of tibial plateau fractures is with open reduction and internal fixation, or external fixation in severely displaced and comminuted fractures. Total joint arthroplasty for unreconstructable hip fractures is a successful and widely accepted treatment; however, such surgery for tibial plateau fractures is not a common practice. We present two cases of highly comminuted schaztker VI tibial plateau fractures in patients over the age of 65.

Translation, cultural adaptation and validation of the Italian version of the Brief Index of Lupus Damage: the BILDit.

Objectives: The Brief Index of Lupus Damage (BILD) is an instrument of self-evaluation of organ damage for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients. The objectives of this study were the translation, cultural adaptation and validation of the Italian version of the BILD (BILDit).

Methods: The process of translation and cultural adaptation followed published guidelines.

Kinetic energy-assisted delivery of hyaluronic acid for skin remodeling in middle and lower face.

Background: Kinetic energy of a liquid jet has been demonstrated to achieve clinical efficacy by injecting hyaluronic acid for skin thickening and improving facial sagging. A pneumatically accelerated jet penetrates the epidermis leaving HA particles spherically spread in the dermis and initiating microtraumatic wound healing.

Method: We reported retrospective analysis of our successful experience in improving rhytidosis and skin remodeling in the middle and lower facial regions by pneumatically administered HA filler.
