Semen quality and gonadotropin levels in patients operated upon for cryptorchidism.

In a long-term follow-up study we compared preoperative testicular position, age at orchiopexy, and morphology of testicular biopsies investigated at orchiopexy to sperm analysis results, testicular volume, and serum follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone levels at follow-up in 46 men with a history of surgical correction of cryptorchidism in childhood. They had undergone orchiopexy at age 1.5-12.

Playground accidents.

To study the causes and sequelae of playground accidents we analysed, in a retrospective study, 374 playground accidents. Questionnaires were sent to the parents and 103 parents (28%) provided detailed information on the playground accidents of their children. Thirty-one percent of the children injured in playground accidents sustained fractures of the extremities or concussion of the brain.
