Being performance enhancing hormones, endogenous anabolic androgenic steroids (EAAS) are banned from most competitive sports by the World Anti-doping Agency (WADA). In anti-doping control laboratories, routine assays are mainly performed on urine samples of athletes in and out of competitions.
