Advance care planning in the acute hospital: A qualitative analysis of terms and conditions Advance Care Planning (ACP) is an internationally established concept aimed to facilitate anticipatory care planning in the event of future inability to consent. In Germany, ACP is currently not regularly offered to patients in acute care hospitals. We aimed to identify preconditions for implementation of ACP in acute care hospitals in Germany through review of the international literature and expert interviews.

Background: In Palliative Care, actors from different professional backgrounds work together and exchange case-specific and expert knowledge and information. Since Palliative Care is traditionally distant from digitalization due to its holistically person-centered approach, there is a lack of suitable concepts enabling digitalization regarding multi-professional team processes. Yet, a digitalised information and collaboration environment geared to the requirements of palliative care and the needs of the members of the multi-professional team might facilitate communication and collaboration processes and improve information and knowledge flows.

Background: There is growing clinical and research utilization of genetic testing in Parkinson's disease (PD), including direct-to-consumer testing.

Objectives: The aim is to determine the international landscape of genetic testing in PD to inform future worldwide recommendations.

Methods: A web-based survey assessing current practices, concerns, and barriers to genetic testing and counseling was administered to the International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society membership.

Nursing roles and competencies in emergency care - focusing on geriatric emergency care: A Scoping Review Older patients make up an increasing number of emergency admissions in Germany. Their complex needs require advanced nursing competencies. The aim of this scoping review was to identify extended nursing roles in the emergency care of geriatric patients, to describe the training or educational programs that enable nurses to fill these roles and to compare these to the task catalog of German nurses with standard three-year training.
