Photocrosslinking and capture for the analysis of carbohydrate-dependent interactions.

Carbohydrates play crucial roles in biological systems, including by mediating cell and protein interactions. The complexity and transient nature of carbohydrate-dependent interactions pose significant challenges for their characterization, as traditional techniques often fail to capture these low-affinity binding events. This review highlights the increasing utility of photocrosslinkers in studying carbohydrate-mediated interactions.

Negative patch test findings after initiation of upadacitinib: A case report.

Upadacitinib is a systemic Janus kinase inhibitor currently approved for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. Many patients with atopic dermatitis have a concomitant diagnosis of allergic contact dermatitis. The utility of Janus kinase inhibitors for the treatment of allergic contact dermatitis and the effect on patch testing results remains unclear.

A case of probable drug-induced psoriasis to dapagliflozin.

Exposure to certain drugs can trigger new-onset psoriasis or flaring of existing psoriatic disease. The clinical presentation of drug-induced psoriasis can vary, and although there are features suggestive of drug-induced psoriasis, there are currently no standardized criteria to differentiate it from conventional psoriasis. Patients may present with localized psoriasiform plaques, or variants such as palmoplantar, nail disease, or widespread erythroderma.

Integrating existing and novel methods to understand organizational context: A case study of an academic-public health department partnership.

Purpose: In this manuscript we illustrate how implementation science (IS) researchers and practitioners can deploy and integrate existing and novel methods to develop a more comprehensive understanding of organizational context, particularly organizational routines and processes, to inform adaptation and implementation of evidence-based interventions.

Methods: The work reported here was part of a broader investigation of how to adapt and implement a three-component combination intervention in a county health department in Mobile, Alabama. Based on pre-implementation efforts to assess local context and barriers to implementation, we first describe three approaches that can be effectively used to elucidate organizational routines and processes, followed by a description of how these approaches were applied in our study.
