Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second most frequently diagnosed type of cancer and a major worldwide public health concern. Despite the global efforts in the development of modern therapeutic strategies, CRC prognosis is strongly correlated with the stage of the disease at diagnosis. Early detection of CRC has a huge impact in decreasing mortality while pre-lesion detection significantly reduces the incidence of the pathology.

Unmet needs in the diagnosis and treatment of Romanian patients with bilio-pancreatic tumors: results of a prospective observational multicentric study.

Biliopancreatic tumors (BPT) are among the most aggressive solid malignancies, and their incidence is rising. Good patient outcome relies heavily on a multidisciplinary approach to therapy, including timely access to endoscopy, surgery and chemo/radiotherapy. We aimed to evaluate current practices as reflected in the management and outcome of patients diagnosed with BPT in the setting of a low-resource medical system in order to identify areas suitable for improvement.

Systematic review of the complications associated with magnetically controlled growing rods for the treatment of early onset scoliosis.

Purpose: To analyse the complication profile of magnetically controlled growing rods (MCGRs) in early onset scoliosis (EOS).

Methods: This is a systematic review using PUBMED, Medline, Embase, Google Scholar and the Cochrane Library (keywords: MAGEC, Magnetically controlled growing rods and EOS) of all studies written in English with a minimum of five patients and a 1-year follow-up. We evaluated coronal correction, growth progression (T1-S1, T1-T12) and complications.

Targeted Distraction: Spinal Growth in Children With Early-Onset Scoliosis Treated With a Tail-gating Technique for Magnetically Controlled Growing Rods.

Study Design: Prospective cohort study OBJECTIVE.: To understand the efficacy of a tail-gating technique (TGT) to mirror the normal spinal growth of children with early-onset scoliosis (EOS) treated with magnetically controlled growing rods (MCGR).

Summary Of Background Data: MCGR allow outpatient distraction and guided spinal growth without the need for repeat surgery.

Adverse local tissue reaction after 2 revision hip replacements for ceramic liner fracture: A case report.

Introduction: In younger patients, ceramic-on-ceramic (CoC) bearing surfaces are usually recommended for total hip replacement (THR) because of their low wear rate and longer expected functional life. Although technical advancements have reduced the risk of ceramic bearings fracture, this complication remains a major concern.

Case Description: We present the case of a 56-year-old patient undergoing 3 revision hip arthroplasties of the right hip due to ceramic liner fractures.
