Excess fat intake is associated with kidney toxicity and dysfunction. Because fatty acids can also be reversibly attached onto cysteine residues and modulate the function of several membrane-bound proteins, we studied the effect of high-fat diet (HFD) on the S-acylated proteome of mouse kidneys to uncover novel biochemical changes that might contribute to lipid-induced nephrotoxicity. We compared the S-acylated proteome of kidneys from mice fed a chow diet (CD) or a HFD.

All known ALS-linked mutations cluster within exon 2 and a specific variant, c.58G>T, results in exon 2 skipping.

This systematic review aimed to evaluate the use of different nanoparticles for their ability to impart antimicrobial properties to conventionally inert gutta-percha when it is coated with nanoparticles. After registering with PROSPERO (CRD42023420939), the search was conducted using the PubMed, Cochrane, Scopus, CINAHL, and Google Scholar with predefined keywords. The research question was constructed on PICO as "Does gutta-percha coated with various nanoparticles provide antibacterial activity against root canal microbes compared to conventional gutta-percha points?".

Despite the importance of cAMR in transplant medicine, the mechanisms involved remain incompletely understood. Here, we examined the regulation of yes-associated protein (YAP) nuclear cytoplasmic localization and phosphorylation in human ECs challenged with Abs that bind HLA II, which are strongly associated with cAMR.
