Harsh operating conditions imposed by vehicular applications significantly limit the utilization of proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) in electric propulsion systems. Improper/poor management and supervision of rapidly varying current demands can lead to undesired electrochemical reactions and critical cell failures. Among other failures, flooding and catalytic degradation are failure mechanisms that directly impact the composition of the membrane electrode assembly and can cause irreversible cell performance deterioration.

Macrophages, as the first line of immune system interaction with implant surfaces, play a bidirectional role in modulating the inflammation-regeneration balance. For a deep understanding and the evaluation of the reactions between implant materials and immune responses, reliable in vitro methods and protocols are pivotal.

In this context, associated mitigation measures among YAHIV can adversely impact fragile social and economic systems. We examined the impact of the pandemic and related government-mandated restrictions among YAHIV in Kisumu, Kenya.

This study shares findings from implementing this method and compares the results with those of the standard endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA).
Methods: Patients undergoing diagnostic bronchoscopy for mediastinal or hilar lesions in four Swiss centres were included.
Establishing a strategy for sequencing of T cell-redirecting therapies for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) is a pressing clinical need. We longitudinally tracked the clinical and immunologic impact of bispecific T cell-engaging antibodies (BsAb) as bridging therapy (BT) to subsequent B-cell maturation antigen-directed chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapies in 52 patients with RRMM. BsAbs were a potent and safe option for BT, achieving the highest overall response rate (100%) to BT compared with chemotherapy, anti-CD38, or anti-SLAMF7 antibody-based regimens (46%).
