Background And Objectives: The Housing and Urban Development-Veterans Affairs Supported Housing (HUD-VASH) program provides rental subsidies, case management, and supportive services to Veterans who are currently or formerly homeless, 77% of whom are ages ≥50. Few interventions have been developed to address the needs of older Veterans in HUD-VASH.

Unlabelled: Introduction- Endoscopic minimally invasive pituitary surgery (MIPS) is advantageous over microscopic technique, as it provides superior close up, wide angle view of surgical target area. Image guided navigation system (IGNS) guides the surgeon to localize the lesion. Introduction: Healthcare advances are hindered by underrepresentation in prospective research; sociodemographic, data, and measurement infidelity in retrospective research; and a paucity of guidelines surrounding equitable research practices.

Objective: The Joint Research Practices Working Group was created in 2021 to develop and disseminate guidelines for the conduct of inclusive and equitable research.

Methods: Volunteer faculty and staff from two research centers at the University of Pennsylvania initiated a multi-pronged approach to guideline development, including literature searches, center-level feedback, and mutual learning with local experts.

  • This study isolated various bacterial strains from the mushrooms and tested their effects on growth, development, and nutrient content, finding three bacterial isolates that significantly promoted mycelial growth.
  • The supplementation of these beneficial bacteria improved the biological efficiency and nutrient composition of the mushrooms, suggesting a potential new method for sustainable mushroom farming.
