Brief historical review of drainage procedures of the wounds and abdominal cavity was adduced. The main mechanisms of the drainage process, from the hydrodynamics laws point, were discussed. There was shown, that drainage occurs due to hydrostatic tissue of liquid and the capillarity laws.

The most frequent of them were pancreatic cancer, arteriomesentery compression, pancreatic pseudocyst, volumic formations, adhesive deformity of duodenojejunal juncture, duodenal polyposis. There was proposed the method of duodenal arteriomesentery compression correction, which permits to restore effectively the duodenal motor-evacuatory function.
