Background: Asthma is a prevalent chronic respiratory disease that affects individuals from childhood to adulthood. This study aimed to investigate the association between symptoms and severity of asthma with television viewing, computer and Internet use in adolescents, considering the lifestyle changes in recent decades.

Methods: This study was conducted in early 2020 as part of the Global Asthma Network 2020 survey, among 13-14-year-olds in Yazd, Iran.

Language prediction in monolingual and bilingual speakers: an EEG study.

Prediction of upcoming words is thought to be crucial for language comprehension. Here, we are asking whether bilingualism entails changes to the electrophysiological substrates of prediction. Prior findings leave it open whether monolingual and bilingual speakers predict upcoming words to the same extent and in the same manner.

Nonlinear Analysis of Electroencephalogram Signals while Listening to the Holy Quran.

Background: Electrical activity of the brain, resulting from electrochemical signaling between neurons, is recorded by electroencephalogram (EEG). The neural network has complex behavior at different levels that strongly confirms the nonlinear nature of interactions in the human brain. This study has been designed and implemented with the aim of determining the effects of religious beliefs and the effect of listening to Holy Quran on electrical activity of the brain of the Iranian Persian-speaking Muslim volunteers.

Relationship among temporary separation, attachment styles, and adjustment in first-grade Iranian children.

If mothers work outside the home, some degree of mother-child separation will be experienced and mother-child attachment will be affected. In this study, regarding the attachment styles, sociobehavioral problems in first-grade children with experience of preschool and in those taught by their mothers at-home are compared. A casual-comparative method was used to compare children in the two groups.

Nodular Fasciitis of the Breast.

Nodular fasciitis of the breast is a rare benign pathology of soft tissue that is a consequence of fibroblastic hyperplasia within breast. It can mimic breast cancer clinically, radiologically, and histopathologically. A-43 year-old female with a painless mass within upper-lateral quadrant of her left breast complained of rapid and progressive growth during previous few days.
