Background: Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) have elevated cardiopulmonary and mortality risk, particularly following exacerbations. While single inhaler triple therapies (SITTs), such as budesonide/glycopyrrolate/formoterol fumarate (BGF), reduce cardiopulmonary risk versus dual bronchodilator therapy, there is limited evidence comparing outcomes with SITTs versus multiple inhaler triple therapies (MITTs).
Methods: SKOPOS-MAZI was a retrospective comparative effectiveness study in patients with COPD aged ≥40 years using US administrative claims data from Optum's de-identified Clinformatics® Data Mart Database.
Importance: Bronchiolitis is the most common diagnosis necessitating respiratory support and pediatric intensive care, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the most common cause of bronchiolitis. In 2023, the monoclonal antibody nirsevimab and the maternal RSVpreF vaccine were implemented to prevent RSV in infants.
Objective: To determine the potential association of novel RSV prevention strategies with pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) utilization.
Students with emotional/behavioral disorders (EBD) commonly engage in both externalizing and internalizing behaviors-a behavioral profile that has been connected to childhood trauma. Although the efficacy of function-based interventions for students with EBD has been documented, the extent to which these interventions align with principles of trauma-informed care (TIC) is unknown. We conducted a systematic review of function-based intervention studies for students with EBD to evaluate whether and how these interventions incorporated critical elements of TIC.
