Psychometric properties of the reduced version of the Primary Care Assessment Tool (PCATool).

Objective: This cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the reduced version of the Primary Care Assessment Tool (PCATool) for adult patients in the Brazilian National Health Survey 2019, a nationally representative population-based study.

Methods: The reduced version of PCATool-adults measures the presence and extent of the following attributes: degree of affiliation; first-contact access; longitudinality; care coordination; comprehensiveness; family orientation; and community orientation. Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis were performed.

The evolving treatment landscape of multiple myeloma in Portugal: A nation-wide retrospective cohort study of real-world clinical practice.

Objectives: To characterize variations in real-world treatment patterns in multiple myeloma (MM) in Portugal over a 5-year period.

Methods: A retrospective cohort multicenter study using secondary data of national hospital drug consumption database from 11 Portuguese public hospitals between 2017 and 2022.

Results: Number of MM-treated patients increased 53% over 5 years (from 825 to 1266 patients).

Over 400 food resources from Brazil: evidence-based records of wild edible mushrooms.

Many species of mushroom-forming fungi have been harvested in the wild and used for food and medicine for thousands of years. In Brazil, the knowledge of the diversity of wild edible mushrooms remains scattered and poorly studied. Based on new samples, bibliographic records revision, and searches through the GenBank, we recorded 409 species of wild edible mushrooms in Brazil, of which 350 can be safely consumed and 59 are edible but with conditions.

Synthesis, fluorescence and theoretical insights into a novel FRET-based dansyl-rhodamine sensor for the in vitro detection of toxic bioaccumulated Hg(II) ions.

This work describes the successful design and synthesis of a new fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET)-based sensor, denoted as RD1. This sensor incorporates a robust dual-fluorophore design, which combines a rhodamine and a dansyl derivative, functionalized with a thiosemicarbazide group that acts as Hg(II) specific recognition site. A synthetic pathway was developed that allowed the efficient synthesis of RD1 with a remarkable overall yield of 44% over four steps, through microwave-assisted protocols.
