Introduction: Heroin-assisted treatment (HAT) involves the supervised administration of pharmaceutical heroin (diacetylmorphine, DAM), either injectable or oral, for individuals with severe opioid use disorder who have not achieved stabilization with conventional opioid agonist treatment. Despite its growing adoption, there is limited literature on the phenomenon of diversion in HAT. Diversion refers to the redirecting of legal prescription medications from their intended medical use to illegal or unauthorised use.

Mass spectrometry-based discovery of bacterial immunopeptides presented by infected cells allows untargeted discovery of bacterial antigens that can serve as vaccine candidates. However, reliable identification of bacterial epitopes is challenged by their extremely low abundance. Here, we describe an optimized bioinformatic framework to enhance the confident identification of bacterial immunopeptides.

Background: Adequate surgical treatment of intra-articular calcaneal fractures is challenging. Current clinical evidence on the superiority of either the extended lateral approach (ELA) or the sinus tarsi approach (STA) and their impact on radiologic and functional outcome remains inconclusive, and studies are characterized by low case numbers and short follow-up periods. We hypothesized that using STA would lead to fewer complications and revisions, without impairing fracture reduction or short- to midterm outcome.

Purpose: This study investigates the impact of two distinct visualization methods for electrocochleographic potentials during cochlear implant electrode insertion on residual hearing preservation and vestibular function. Previous research has demonstrated the benefits of visualizing electrocochleographic (ECochG) potentials in preserving residual hearing during cochlear implantation. In this project, ECochG potentials are represented either through a graph or as arrows that provide a pre-interpreted version of the graph.

Purpose: Sedentary behavior (SB) contributes to the heightened risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in endometrial cancer survivors (ECS). This feasibility study aimed to evaluate key outcomes to assess the practicality of SB reduction interventions for ECS. Secondary aims included SB domain assessment and preliminary efficacy testing of the relationship between SB and arterial stiffness.
