Effective concentration of antioxidants and its reactivity toward peroxil radicals (constant k7) have been measured by the chemiluminescence technique for flaxseed oil. Effective concentration of antioxidants is shown to depend on the technology of producing flaxseed oil; period of seed storage before use; and storing duration of flaxseed oil also. Minor component content of flaxseed oil, which may be the members of antioxidant pool, has been quantitatively estimated.

Immune status measured by the flow cytrometric analysis under the ischemic heart disease and IHD with impaired glucose tolerance has been found to be altered in B cells as well as in T lymphocytes in some cases. Having received the diet supplemented by PUFA "Eicolen", IHD patients present with the restored immune status. Patients with IHD and impaired glucose tolerance did not present with any significant modifications in immune status after PUFA "Eicolen" supplementation.

The article of discussion character is devoted to a problem of adequacy of breast milk substitutes to a true breast milk composition. The data on a multiple composition of breast milk including both nutrients and factors of growth--biologically active substances of breast milk are resulted. In paper was accentuated that the solution of a problem of adequate nutrition of children during first year of life in the first place is connected to propagation of need of breast feeding, health nutrition of mother in the pregnancy period and breast feeding and also with further adaptation of breast milk substitutes with the count of physiological need of infant organism in a wide diversification macro- and micro-nutrients.

Investigation of influence of diet with olive oil on clinical, metabolic and immune indices in patients with ischemic heart disease and hypertension was conducted. As a result of the diet modified by the lipid component positive effect on the course of the diseases and lipid spectrum of blood, pronounced action on some indices of cell immunity, intensity of processes of lipid peroxidation were observed.

The influence of lipids received from liver of king crab (Paralithodes camtschatica) and liver of pollack on some indices of immunologic status of an organism and hematologic indices in rats was studied. The animals were divided into three groups in dependence from kind of lipid in diet: the control group received in the composition of lipid component of diet--lard and sunflower oil in the ratio 1:1, the second group--lard and lipid from pollack liver (1:1), the third group--lard and lipid from crabs liver (1:1). The differences of rations concerned their lipid component.
