Addressing evidence needs during health crises in the province of Quebec (Canada): a proposed action plan for rapid evidence synthesis.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated the rapid availability of evidence to respond in a timely manner to the needs of practice settings and decision-makers in health and social services. Now that the pandemic is over, it is time to put in place actions to improve the capacity of systems to meet knowledge needs in a situation of crisis. The main objective of this project was thus to develop an action plan for the rapid syntheses of evidence in times of health crisis in Quebec (Canada).

BIOFILM DAIRY FOODS REVIEW: Microbial Community Tracking from Dairy Farm to Factory: Insights on Biofilm Management for Enhanced Food Safety and Quality.

This review aimed to assess the scope of the literature on tracking the microbial community of biofilms, focusing on the dairy farm and processing environments. The majority of studies focused on either production, storage, transport or processing of milk, while 5 combined the investigation of both production and processing facilities. Factors influencing short-term changes in dairy microbiota such as the occurrence of mastitis and season were distinguished from factors revealed through long-term studies, such as feed and weather, rather than the milking equipment.

Bias Mitigation in Primary Health Care Artificial Intelligence Models: Scoping Review.

Background: Artificial intelligence (AI) predictive models in primary health care have the potential to enhance population health by rapidly and accurately identifying individuals who should receive care and health services. However, these models also carry the risk of perpetuating or amplifying existing biases toward diverse groups. We identified a gap in the current understanding of strategies used to assess and mitigate bias in primary health care algorithms related to individuals' personal or protected attributes.

Personal risk factors for pressure injuries among wheelchair users: an umbrella review of new insights in 2024.

Pressure injuries (PrI) are a prevalent and serious health issue for wheelchair users. This study aims to identify the personal factors associated with PrI occurrence and their significance by synthesizing existing literature. We conducted an umbrella review, systematically searching four databases for reviews published from 2007 to May 2024.

Unveiling chemical industry secrets: Insights gleaned from scientific literatures that examine internal chemical corporate documents-A scoping review.

Objective: Examine peer-reviewed scientific articles that used internal industry documents in the chemical sector to reveal corporate influence. Summarize sources of internal documents used in prior scientific papers to identify ongoing corporate strategies within the chemical field. Compare the corporate strategies identified in the chemical sector with the ones identified already identified in the pharmaceutical sector.
