Land use change is the main cause of carbon stock changes in terrestrial ecosystems. Studying the impact mechanisms of carbon stock changes in different land use types in the arid zone and simulating future changes in land use and carbon stock under different scenarios will help to formulate a scientific land use policy for the arid zone to promote high-quality and sustainable development in the region. Based on the Xinjiang land use data from 2000 to 2020, the coupled PLUS-InVEST model analyzed the spatial and temporal characteristics of land use and carbon stock in Xinjiang from 2000 to 2020 and predicted the changes in land use and carbon stock in Xinjiang in 2030 under the scenarios of natural development (Z1), economic development (Z2), sustainable development (Z3), arable land preservation development (Z4), and ecological protection development (Z5).

The structures of solid dosage forms determine their release behaviors and are critical attributes for the design and evaluation of the solid dosage forms. Here, the 3D structures of doxazosin mesylate sustained-release tablets were parallelly assessed by micro-computed tomography (micro-CT). There were no significant differences observed in the release profiles between the RLD and the generic formulation in the conventional dissolution, but the generic preparation released slightly faster in media with ethanol during an alcohol-induced dose-dumping test.

Graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) is a significant complication of allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation, an immune response against the host's tissues, resulting in inflammation and intestinal damage. GVHD is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in this group of people, with an incidence of approximately 29.9% to 36% in acute grade II-IV gastrointestinal cases.

Objective: Our study aimed to investigate the gender and age-related variations in rumen fermentation, serum metabolites, and microbiota in Qinchuan cattle.

Methods: A total of 38 Qinchuan beef cattle were selected and maintained on a uniform diet for three months. Rumen fluid and blood samples were collected to determine rumen fermentation, serum metabolites, and microbial 16S rRNA sequencing.

In this commentary, we examine the evolution of theories and metrics regarding contraception. We contend that while human rights principles are now widely integrated into the "supply-side factors" of contraceptive provision, particularly through the concept of quality of care and its metrics, their role in relation to "demand-side factors" remains ambiguous. We propose that human rights represent one of several normative frameworks to which both users and non-users may adhere when shaping their fertility preferences and decisions regarding contraception.
