Background Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) is a key enzyme selectively expressed in unstable, rupture-prone atherosclerotic plaques. Previous research has established a strong link between the gene and the development of coronary artery disease (CAD). While traditional risk factors like cholesterol levels and blood pressure are valuable, there remains a need for more specific biomarkers to identify individuals at heightened risk of atherosclerosis before the onset of clinical symptoms.

Flaviviruses, which are transmitted by mosquitoes, are arthropod-borne infections that are pathogenic to both humans and animals, posing a significant global threat to public health. So far, various endocytic pathways have been reported for flaviviral entry; however, the role of cellular factors in viral replication and entry remains uncertain. Here in this study, we identified the role of Low-density lipoprotein receptor, which has long been established as a cholesterol carrier for neurons but remained unexplored as an essential host factor for JEV/WNV replication.

There have been differences recorded in the epidemiology, genomics, standard therapies and outcomes, with variations according to the geography and ethnicity which affect the decision for optimal treatment of the patients. To better understand the profile of lung cancer in Southeast Asia, with a focus on India, we have comprehensively reviewed the available data, and discuss the challenges and the way forward.

In this paper, we demonstrate electrical manipulation of telecom silicon color centers by implementing novel lateral electrical diodes with an integrated G center ensemble in a commercial silicon on insulator wafer. The ensemble optical response is characterized under application of a reverse-biased DC electric field, observing both 100% modulation of fluorescence signal, and wavelength redshift of approximately 1.
