A novel treatment for indirect pathological hyperbilirubinemia is bilisphere phototherapy, which lowers total serum bilirubin just as well as exchange transfusions. The host range of HPAIV H5N1 was recently expanded to include ruminants, particularly dairy cattle in the United States (US). Shortly after, human H5N1 infection was reported in a dairy worker in Texas following exposure to infected cattle. Herein, we rescued the cattle-origin influenza A/bovine/Texas/24-029328-02/2024(H5N1, rHPbTX) and A/Texas/37/2024(H5N1, rHPhTX) viruses, identified in dairy cattle and human, respectively, and their low pathogenic forms, rLPbTX and rLPhTX, with monobasic HA cleavage sites.

Energy scarcity in the world and the pollutants resulting from excessive use of conventional energy aroused the need for sustainable alternatives that are environment friendly. A multi-use thermoelectric refrigerator powered by solar energy to obtain the lowest consumption with the highest efficiency. The designed refrigerator is based on the Peltier effect using Peltier units where a temperature difference is created between the junctions by applying a voltage difference across the junction.

Introduction: Early-onset neonatal sepsis (EONS) significantly impacts neonatal morbidity and mortality, with maternal bacteremia during the peripartum period being a potential risk factor. This study aims to explore the association between peripartum maternal bacteremia and EONS.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study at the Women's Wellness and Research Center in Doha, Qatar (2015-2019) compared women with and without bacteremia, based on blood cultures taken from up to seven days before to 48 h after delivery, examining the association with EONS.
