Comprehensive analysis of Vibrio alginolyticus: Environmental risk factors in the cultured Gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata) under seasonal fluctuations and water parameter alterations.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between seasonal variations, water parameters and the prevalence of Vibriosis in Gilthead seabream. A total of 160 Gilthead seabream fish were sampled over the course of 1 year from private earthen pond farms in the Suez Canal area and examined for abnormalities and internal lesions. Vibrio alginolyticus, the causative agent of Vibriosis, was isolated and characterized from the sampled Gilthead seabream fish.

Implant-free anatomical reconstruction of thumb metacarpophalangeal joint chronic ulnar collateral ligament injuries.

A technique is described to treat chronic instability of the metacarpophalangeal joint of the thumb caused by rupture of the ulnar collateral ligament using a palmaris longus tendon graft without implants. Good results were obtained in eight patients.

Scapho-Capitate Ratio for Estimation of Scaphoid Length.

The failure of scaphoid reconstruction by restoring both length and shape may lead to carpal mal-alignment and progressive degenerative arthritis. The aim of our study is to find a reliable method to find out the scaphoid length without measuring the contralateral scaphoid. Three X-ray wrist views were collected for 51 patients without any signs suggesting any hand and wrist fractures.

The Use of Minilocked Plate for Management of Unstable Metacarpal Fractures.

 This study aims to evaluate the use of minilocked plates in the treatment of the metacarpal fractures.  A total of 30 patients of metacarpal fractures were treated by minilocked plates.  Union was achieved in all patients.

The Use of a Simple Dynamic External Fixator for the Treatment of Volar Fracture Subluxation of Proximal Interphalangeal Joints of the Fingers.

Volar fracture dislocation is very uncommon, with few series reported in the literature. Patients with such injuries were treated by modified dynamic external fixators. The mean follow-up was 18 months (range, 6 to 92 mo).
