Comparison of oxytocin use between singleton and twin pregnancies during induction of labor: A multicenter case-control study.

Objective: To compare the oxytocin doses used during induction, relative to the number of labor hours, between singleton and twin pregnancies.

Materials And Methods: We conducted a retrospective case-control study in two tertiary referral centers in France. Women with twin pregnancies who underwent labor induction with oxytocin in each center were eligible.

Recessive Variants in PIGG Cause a Motor Neuropathy with Variable Conduction Block, Childhood Tremor, and Febrile Seizures: Expanding the Phenotype.

Biallelic variants in phosphatidylinositol glycan anchor biosynthesis, class G (PIGG) cause hypotonia, intellectual disability, seizures, and cerebellar features. We present 8 patients from 6 families with a childhood-onset motor neuropathy and neurophysiology demonstrating variable motor conduction block and temporal dispersion. All individuals had a childhood onset tremor, 5 of 8 had cerebellar involvement, and 6 of 8 had childhood febrile seizures.

Foot surgery for adults with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.

People with Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease often undergo foot and ankle surgery, as foot deformities are common and cause a degree of functional limitations impairing quality of life. Surgical approaches are variable and there are no evidence-based guidelines. A multidisciplinary approach involving neurology, physical therapy and orthopaedic surgery is ideal to provide guidance on when to refer for surgical opinion and when to intervene.

Coke wastewater is a complex industrial wastewater due to its high content of toxic compounds such as cyanides, thiocyanates, phenols, tar, oils, and fats. After a series of treatments, wastewater with a high ammonium content is obtained (around 4,150 mg·L-1). A stripping process is used to reduce it.
