A potential blood substitute from a tetronic polyol and a modified hemoglobin.

This investigation reports a new potential blood substitute. An acellular fluid is formed between a Tetronic polyol and a modified hemoglobin. It was possible to stabilize the hemoglobin with glutaric acid.
