Affective responses to music are specific to both cultural and personal preferences, but little is known about the individual variability in adolescence. The Barcelona Music Reward Questionnaire (BMRQ) is a psychometric measure that identifies five factors associated with musical pleasure: Musical Seeking, Emotional Evocation, Mood Regulation, Social Reward, and Sensory-Motor.

Background: Children with craniopharyngiomas (CPs) typically suffer from a life-long chronic disease. Purpose: Various surgical nuances of the telovelar approach have been suggested. The necessity of removing the posterior arch of C1 to accomplish optimal tumor exposure is still debated. Therefore, we report on our experience and technical details of the fourth ventricular tumor resection in a modified prone position without systematic removal of the posterior arch of C1.

Abnormalities of the Descending Inhibitory Nociceptive Pathway in Functional Motor Disorders.

Background: Pain is a common disabling non-motor symptom affecting patients with functional motor disorders (FMD).

Objective: We aimed to explore ascending and descending nociceptive pathways with laser evoked potentials (LEPs) in FMD.

Methods: We studied a "bottom-up and top-down" noxious paradigm applying a conditioned pain modulation (CPM) protocol and recorded N2/P2 amplitude in 21 FMD and 20 controls following stimulation of both right arm and leg at baseline (BS) (bottom-up), during heterotopic noxious conditioning stimulation (HNCS) with ice test (top-down) and post-HNCS.

Dual-Catalysed Intermolecular Reductive Coupling of Dienes and Ketones.

We report a mild, catalytic method for the intermolecular reductive coupling of feedstock dienes and styrenes with ketones. Our conditions allow concomitant formation of a cobalt hydride species and single-electron reduction of ketones. Subsequent selective hydrogen-atom transfer from the cobalt hydride generates an allylic radical which can selectively couple with the persistent radical-anion of the ketone.
