Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) is a precise skin surgery technique that is particularly useful in the treatment of high-risk skin cancers and tumors located in challenging anatomical areas. we report two cases of basal cell carcinoma located in the acral areas effectively treated using MMS. the presented cases demonstrate that MMS is an excellent surgical modality providing outstanding medical, cosmetic, and functional outcomes.

Intreduction: Melanoma is an extremely aggressive form of skin neoplasia, an important stage in the diagnostic and treatment is identifying the dissemination at the lymphatic level. For a more accurate staging, the sentinel lymph node biopsy technique is performed, which in most of the time addresses one, respectively 2 locations, but cases with sentinel nodes in 3 lymphatic basins have rarely been described. Case report: We present a case of melanoma located in the right lumbar region, which from the point of view of histopathological features has a Breslow index of 4.

(1) Background: Melanoma is one of the most aggressive types of neoplasia, and the management of this pathology requires a correct staging, as well as a personalized modern oncological treatment. The main objective of the study is to determine the variability of the lymphatic drainage for patients with melanomas located on the trunk and, secondarily, to determine the features of individuals who underwent sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) depending on the exact location on the trunk. (2) Methods: This retrospective, observational, single-center study included 62 cases of trunk melanoma operated between July 2019 and March 2023, in which SLNB was performed and a total of 84 lymph nodes were excised.

The COVID-19 pandemic was complicated by the spread of false information leading to what became widely called an "infodemic". The present opinion paper was written by an ad hoc international team united under the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) umbrella and reflects the organizations' effort to contribute to the resolution of these issues, by highlighting and reflecting on them and by suggesting the medical community's necessary activities resulting in the formulation of effective future communication strategies. The importance of physicians' and other health workers' role and mission as educators and leaders in communities in critical situations should be reassessed and upgraded.
