Wide Sexual Dimorphism of Hepatocellular Carcinoma Presentation in Algeria.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) represents a worrying public health problem in North Africa and particularly in Egypt. The situation is unclear in western North Africa where HCC has been rarely submitted to careful scrutiny. We decided to analyze demographic, biochemical, virological, and clinical data of a series of HCC from Algerian patients to establish the landscape of this tumor in the country.

Aims: The goal of the study was to evaluate the prevalence and risk factors of esophageal motor disorders in systemic sclerosis.

Patients And Methods: In 183 consecutive cases of scleroderma, as diagnosed by American College of Rheumatology criteria (1980). Patients' mean age was 40.
