Mathematical modeling of contact tracing and stability analysis to inform its impact on disease outbreaks; an application to COVID-19.

We develop a mathematical model to investigate the effect of contact tracing on containing epidemic outbreaks and slowing down the spread of transmissible diseases. We propose a discrete-time epidemic model structured by disease-age which includes general features of contact tracing. The model is fitted to data reported for the early spread of COVID-19 in South Korea, Brazil, and Venezuela.

Quality of life in men after total cystoprostatectomy: Perceptions of Tunisian patients.

Introduction: Total cystoprostatectomy (TCP) causes many changes in the postoperative quality of life leading to psychological, physical, social and sexual repercussions that are difficult to manage. This study aims to describe the postoperative quality of life of elderly Tunisian men who had a TCP as a result of a bladder cancer.

Methods: A descriptive quantitative study was conducted with 40 cystoprostatectomized men.

Adult recurrent pilocytic astrocytoma: Clinical, histopathological and molecular study.

Background: PA is a grade I glial tumor that mostly occurs in children. However, although apparently similar to paediatric PA, adult PA presents a different clinical follow-up that could arise from specific molecular alterations. A variety of genetic alterations have been identified as diagnostic or prognostic glioma molecular markers.

Meningeal Hemangiopericytomas and Meningomas: a Comparative Immunohistochemical and Genetic Study.

Background: The meningeal hemangiopericytoma (MHPC) is a vascular tumor arising from pericytes. Most intracranial MHPCs resemble meningiomas (MNGs) in their clinical presentation and histological features and may therefore be misdiagnosed, despite important differences in prognosis.

Materials And Methods: We report 8 cases of MHPC and 5 cases of MNG collected from 2007 to 2011 from the Neuro-Surgery and Histopathology departments.
