Unlabelled: Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a very complex disease, challenging to study and manage. The complexities of MDD require extensive research of its mechanisms to develop more effective therapeutic approaches. Crucial in the context of this disease is the role of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) signaling pathway.

Herein, we report a straightforward approach to assemble soft bioinstructive platforms to recreate the native neural extracellular matrix (ECM) aiming for neuronal regeneration based on the electrostatic-driven supramolecular presentation of laminin-derived IKVAV-containing self-assembling PA (IKVAV-PA) on biocompatible multilayered nanoassemblies. Spectroscopic and microscopic techniques show that the co-assembly of positively charged low-molecular-weight IKVAV-PA with oppositely charged high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid (HA) triggers the formation of ordered β-sheet structures denoting a one-dimensional nanofibrous network.

The fungal inositol polyphosphate kinase (IPK) pathway, comprised of IPKs that convert IP to IP, provides a promising new target due to its impact on multiple, critical cellular functions and, unlike in mammalian cells, its lack of redundancy. Nearly all IPKs in the fungal pathway are essential for virulence, with IP kinase (IPK) the most critical.

The questionnaire was administered to a sample of 1,194 university students. Validity evidence based on the instrument's internal structure and on relationships with other variables (personality and motivation) were analyzed.
