Bipolar disorder is a leading contributor to the global burden of disease. Despite high heritability (60-80%), the majority of the underlying genetic determinants remain unknown. We analysed data from participants of European, East Asian, African American and Latino ancestries (n = 158,036 cases with bipolar disorder, 2.

Cell adhesion molecule protocadherin-γC5 (Pcdh-γC5) has been reported to implicate in AD. Here we find elevated expression level of Pcdh-γC5 in the brain of 5×FAD mice and Aβ-treated astrocytes, and further reveal that Pcdh-γC5 deficiency leads to exacerbated Aβ deposition in 5×FAD mice.

We aim to investigate the basic and intricate details of cellular and molecular elements in early and late phase placentas to gain better understanding of the immune regulation of human reproductive process.
Methods: A novel combination of techniques of spatial transcriptomics(ST), multiple immunohistochemistry, and a dual labeling combining immunohistochemistry and (fluorescence in situ hybridization) FISH on normal and ectopic pregnancy and animal models was employed to investigate the placenta at tissue, cell, protein and molecular levels and to trace the fetal and maternal origin of every cell in early and late placentas.
Cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) is a common factor in age-related diseases such as stroke and dementia, and about half of dementia patients worldwide are caused by CSVD. CSVD-related cognitive impairment (CSVD-CI) affects more and more elderly people, resulting in economic losses and burdens on families and society. In recent years, circulating biomarkers have made breakthroughs and played an increasingly important role in the diagnosis, progression, and prognosis of CSVD-associated cognitive impairment, and are expected to be applied to the early clinical detection, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with cerebral small vessel disease.

Understanding and enhancing salt tolerance in potatoes is crucial for ensuring food security. This study evaluated the salt tolerance of 17 diverse potato varieties using principal component analysis, membership function analysis, cluster analysis, and stepwise regression analysis.
