For investigating the host response in associated pneumonia, we analyzed the host genetic sequences obtained from metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS). The samples for mNGS were bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) collected from the lungs of patients infected with and from patients without bacterial infections. BALF samples from patients with pneumonia were collected from the lungs of patients infected with with New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase (NDM, before treatment), A.

Animals must adapt their behaviors in response to environmental stressors to enhance survival prospects. Aquatic organisms, particularly teleost fish, face unique environmental challenges, making them ideal models for studying environmental stress adaptation. While previous research on acute environmental stress acclimation provided valuable insights, it often overlooked potential sex-specific responses.

Scopolamine is the secondary metabolite of the Datura stramonium and act as a muscarinic receptor antagonist. Previous studies showed that scopolamine caused attention and memory deficit. However, the effects of scopolamine on specific cognitive functions, such as fear learning and social recognition, remain poorly understood.

Scintillation screens are widely used to diagnose high-charge density, low-average current electron beams from laser wakefield accelerators (LWFAs). However, the absolute response between emitted photons and electron charge has only been calibrated at a limited number of facilities, and there have been discrepancies between these calibrations. In this report, we comprehensively revised the absolute charge calibration of two high relative brightness scintillating screens of LANEX Regular (Carestream) and PI200 (Mitsubishi) by employing the high-brightness photoinjector at the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC), which provides electron beams with variable charges (50-350 pC per pulse) and energies (26.

Surface oxidation effect on photocurrent responsibility was detected in WSeTe nanosheets, and the photocurrent response depends on the light wavelength. It is enhanced at the wavelength of 405 nm, while showing no change at the wavelength of 532 nm and suppressed at the wavelength of 808 nm. The incident photon-to-current efficiency (IPCE) is expected to increase at 405 nm wavelength, remain unchanged at 532 nm wavelength, and decrease at 808 nm wavelength.
