Background: Normothermic ex situ heart perfusion (ESHP) has emerged as a valid modality for advanced cardiac allograft preservation and conditioning prior to transplantation though myocardial function declines gradually during ESHP thus limiting its potential for expanding the donor pool. Recently, the utilization of dialysis has been shown to preserve myocardial and coronary vasomotor function. Herein, we sought to determine the changes in myocardial metabolism that could support this improvement.

Structural connectivity (SC) can be measured using diffusion tensor imaging to evaluate white matter integrity, whereas functional connectivity (FC) can be studied by examining functional correlations within or between functional networks. In this study, the alterations of SC and FC were assessed for TBI patients, with and without chronic symptoms (TBIcs/TBIncs), compared with a healthy control group (CG).

Materials And Methods: Retrospective single-centre study stratified all single-ventricle patients who reached stage 2 palliation by race: Black and White.
Evaluate patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) morphology changes in the preterm neonate undergoing transcatheter PDA closure (TCPC). We propose the type F ductus is associated with lower corrected gestational age (CGA) and improved TCPC outcomes. Retrospective review of premature neonates undergoing TCPC at a large volume institution from November 2020 to November 2023.
