Aim: For older adults with mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia, maintaining daily lives at home is also ideal for quality of life. However, they have serious problems with medication management. Although the Dementia Assessment Sheet in community-based integrated care system-21 items and the regimen comprehension scale are assessment scales for medication, there have been no reports evaluating both semantic memory and actual performance.

Transcortical Endoscopic Removal of Residual Craniopharyngioma in the Third Ventricle: Surgical Video.

Excision through craniotomy is used for pediatric craniopharyngioma removal. However, residual tumors can sometimes be found in the blind spot of the microscopic field, such as the third ventricle wall, back of the optic chiasm, and brainstem surface, during surgery. Video 1 demonstrates the surgery using a flexible endoscope for the removal of residual tumor located within the blind spot of the first resection.

Blastocyst complementation is an intriguing way of generating humanized animals for organ preparation in regenerative medicine and establishing novel models for drug development. Confirming that complemented organs and cells work normally in chimeric animals is critical to demonstrating the feasibility of blastocyst complementation. Here, we generated thymus-complemented chimeric mice, assessed the efficacy of anti-PD-L1 antibody in tumor-bearing chimeric mice, and then investigated T-cell function.

Difficulties with Workplace Support for a Patient with Frontotemporal Dementia: A Case Report.

A 59-year-old, right-handed woman made many mistakes in her job in a pharmacy, despite having considerable experience working in this setting. She had a can-do attitude, but also showed no sign of remorse when she failed. Other staff grew impatient with her and she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia based on clinical and brain imaging findings.
