Both environmental exposures and genetics are known to play important roles in shaping human aging. Here we aimed to quantify the relative contributions of environment (referred to as the exposome) and genetics to aging and premature mortality. To systematically identify environmental exposures associated with aging in the UK Biobank, we first conducted an exposome-wide analysis of all-cause mortality (n = 492,567) and then assessed the associations of these exposures with a proteomic age clock (n = 45,441), identifying 25 independent exposures associated with mortality and proteomic aging.

Background: The introduction of pertuzumab has greatly improved pathological complete response (pCR) rates in HER2-positive breast cancer, yet effects on long-term survival have been limited and it is uncertain which patients derive most benefit. In this study, we determine the prognostic value of BluePrint subtyping in HER2-positive breast cancer. Additionally, we evaluate its use as a biomarker for predicting response to trastuzumab-containing neoadjuvant chemotherapy with or without pertuzumab.

Purpose: BluePrint (BP) is an 80-gene molecular subtyping test that classifies early-stage breast cancer (EBC) into Basal, Luminal, and HER2 subtypes. In most cases, breast tumors have one dominant subtype, representative of a single activated pathway. However, some tumors show a statistically equal representation of more than one subtype, referred to as dual subtype.

Objective: The prevalence of LBP and associated risk factors among young elite athletes in popular sports in the Netherlands were studied.

Methods: A questionnaire-based cross-sectional study was performed among 236 young elite athletes aged between 14–25 years in field hockey, football and speed skating.
