Early initiation and consistent use of prenatal care is linked with improved health outcomes. American Indian birthing people have higher rates of inadequate prenatal care (IPNC), but limited research has examined IPNC among people living on American Indian reservations. The current study uses birth certificate data from the state of Montana (n = 57,006) to examine predictors of IPNC.

Little is known about the differences in obstetrical and cardiac outcomes based on delivery hospital setting (academic or academic-affiliated vs community medical centers).
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the obstetrical and cardiac outcomes of patients with Marfan syndrome or Loeys-Dietz syndrome based on delivery hospital setting.
Objectives: Comprehensive counseling on prenatal genetic screening and diagnostic testing is challenging for clinicians. We sought to identify baseline clinician knowledge of prenatal genetic screening and diagnostic testing and needs to promote counseling aligned with ACOG recommendations.
Methods: We performed an anonymous, cross-sectional survey of clinicians at two unaffiliated, tertiary academic institutions to assess the knowledge of, confidence in, and time spent counseling on prenatal genetic screening and diagnostic testing.
This article examines how trust is built and maintained in interpersonal care relations between people diagnosed with dementia and their vocationally trained care assistants in a Danish welfare context. The issue of trust is singled out as being particularly relevant, as people diagnosed with dementia often possess different cognitive abilities than those most commonly mentioned within existing social theory and research as prerequisites for building and maintaining trust in interpersonal care relations. The article is based on ethnographic fieldwork conducted in various locations in Denmark, primarily during the summer and fall of 2021.
