Objectives: To find contributors to return to sport success or time until return to sport in individuals after an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
Design: Cohort study.
Methods: Secondary analysis of the data of two intervention studies.
Tumor asphericity in F-FDG PET is a prognostic marker that has been investigated in small pilot studies of patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Here, we investigated the prognostic role of asphericity in a large multicenter database of patients with HNSCC treated with primary radiotherapy or chemoradiation and assessed its independent prognostic value. In total, 1,104 patients were included in this analysis.

A prominent regime in the cortex is the inhibition-stabilized network (ISN), defined by strong recurrent excitation balanced by inhibition. While theoretical models have captured the response of brain circuits in the ISN state, their connectivity is typically hard-wired, leaving unanswered how a network may self-organize to an ISN state and dynamically switch between ISN and non-ISN states to modulate oscillations.

Purpose: The ability to smell is known to decrease with age. Still, several studies demonstrate that age-related deterioration is not the inevitable fate of each individual but rather depends on "successful aging" and odorant properties. Based on these notions, in the present prospective study, we aimed to investigate odor thresholds in younger and older adults in response to an extended list of various odorants.

This study assesses the impact of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) during postnatal myelomeningocele (MMC) repair and its potential to optimize functional outcomes.
Patients And Methods: Seven newborns with thoracolumbar or lumbar MMC underwent postnatal surgical repair using IONM.
