Background: This is an update of the original Cochrane review, published in 2017. Eight out of 10 major antihypertensive trials in adults, 65 years of age or older, attempted to achieve a target systolic blood pressure (BP) of < 160 mmHg. Collectively, these trials demonstrated cardiovascular benefit for treatment, compared to no treatment, for older adults with BP > 160 mmHg.

Perceptions the general public hold regarding the consequences of disc herniation are currently unknown. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to assess the general population's current views regarding lumbar disc herniations in order to better understand patient perceptions regarding herniated discs and the factors that may influence them.

Post-menopausal persons living with HIV (PWH) report elevated levels of psychological stress and monocyte activation compared to persons living without HIV (PWOH). Resting state functional connectivity (rsFC) of mesolimbic brain regions underpinning stress and emotion regulation are susceptible to inflammatory insult. Although psychological stress is elevated, rsFC reduced, and CD16 monocytes overexpressed in the brains of PWH, it is unclear whether the relationships amongst these variables differ compared to PWOH.
