Emotional well-being in transition-age adults with pediatric-onset disabilities: A cross-sectional study.

Purpose/objective: The transition from childhood to adulthood often involves emotional challenges. These problems may be especially prominent for transition-age adults (TAA) with pediatric-onset disabilities, although there are currently few studies that speak to this. The aim of this study is to characterize depressive symptoms and the association with family functioning in a sample of TAA with pediatric-onset disabilities.

Health Care, Educational, and Vocational Transitions in Young Adults With Pediatric-Onset Disabilities: Associations With Social Determinants of Health.

Objective: We aim to describe health care, vocational, and educational transitions in young adults with pediatric-onset disabilities and to examine the associations with social determinants of health and depressive symptoms.

Design: This cross-sectional study used multinomial and binary logistic regression to examine the associations of sociodemographic factors and depressive symptoms with health care, educational, and vocational transitions.

Setting: Participants were recruited from outpatient specialty clinics in a rehabilitation medicine department at a quaternary academic children's hospital.

State of Geographic Access to Cancer Treatment Trials in the United States: Are Studies Located Where Patients Live?

Purpose: In this study, we describe the geographic distribution of US cancer treatment trials to identify disparities and opportunities for targeted improvements in access to research for people with cancer.

Methods: US-based phase I-III cancer treatment trials registered on ClinicalTrials.gov were tabulated for the years they were open to enrollment (2017-2022), overall and by county, and supplemented with data from the US Census Bureau, National Cancer Institute, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and US Department of Agriculture.

Midterm outcomes of the Viabahn VBX balloon-expandable covered stent for fenestrations during complex endovascular aortic aneurysm repair.

Objectives: The optimal bridging stent for fenestrations during complex endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR) has not been defined. At our institution, the Viabahn VBX is frequently used given its availability and mechanical and heparin-bonding characteristics. This study aimed to assess the performance of the Viabahn VBX vs the iCast balloon-expandable covered stents as bridging stents for fenestrations during complex EVAR.
