E-waste, a global environmental concern, particularly affects developing nations due to the rise in informal recycling practices. This leads to contamination of environmental matrices, posing threats to both ecosystems and human health. To assess this issue, we monitored brominated flame retardants (BFRs) in 164 samples (soil) from 32 informal e-waste operational locations and 9 background locations across nine mega cities of Pakistan from September 2020 to December 2021.

Objective: Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) has emerged as a versatile tool in the management of an array of medical conditions, including tissue ischemia and delayed wound healing. Despite the incorporation of HBOT in other medical fields, HBOT is not routinely utilized in the field of ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive periorbital surgery.
Design: Case series.
Purpose Of Review: An overview of two ocular diseases, which significantly impact quality of life: thyroid eye disease (TED) and ocular myasthenia gravis (OMG). Additionally, we describe the clinical challenge when they occur simultaneously. We will describe the pathophysiology of both conditions, the currently available diagnostic tools, and the therapies available.

We report the first case of generalized lipodystrophy with orbital inflammatory symptoms. A 6-year-old female with hypothyroidism who developed hepatosplenomegaly, lymphadenopathy, and progressive loss of subcutaneous fat. Following flu vaccination, she developed orbital inflammatory symptoms.
