Purpose: There is no established surgical method for metastatic lesion to the pancreas. In the case of relatively small lesion, we often hesitate to select which surgical method, that is, wedge/partial resection or Whipple/distal pancreatectomy. Moreover, it is debatable whether lymph node dissection is necessary or not.

We devised an efficient nucleic acid extraction method for the NPN membrane, resulting in 100% amplification success for grapevine leafroll-associated virus 2 (GLRaV2) and 3 (GLRaV3), grapevine rupestris stem pitting-associated virus (GRSPaV), grapevine virus A, grapevine virus B, and grapevine red blotch virus (GRBV). This method also allowed the storage of recoverable nucleic acid for 18 months at room temperature.

We compared the characteristics of photosynthetic electron transfer (ET), thylakoid ultrastructure, and Fe and protein distribution on thylakoid membranes among barley cultivars. The Fe-deficient SRB1 had a large proportion of functional PSI proteins by avoiding P700 over-reduction.

Although the incidence of such false-positive cases was clarified in the 10-year period after the introduction of these measures (2009-2018), these data were not compared with the 30 years before 2009 (1979-2008). This study was performed to determine the percentage of autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) that was included during the latter period and how the numbers of false-positive cases differed between the two periods.

Genetic diversity in the rate of Fe uptake by plants has not been broadly surveyed among plant species or genotypes, although plants have developed various Fe acquisition mechanisms. The "live-autoradiography" technique with radioactive Fe was adopted to directly evaluate the uptake rate of Fe by barley cultivars from a nutrient solution containing a very low concentration of Fe.
